How to Learn Mandarin with Rocket Chinese

Rocket Chinese is one of the most reputable Mandarin learning courses from Rocket Language, Ltd. Since I wrote the review of Rocket Chinese a lot of people are interested in this course and send me email to ask me how to learn Mandarin with this course. Which material should use first? I don’t have time to answer all the emails so I’m going to tell you how you can use Rocket Chinese to improve your Chinese skills now

1. Listen to the audios and follow the audio to repeat. At this stage you should not to check the script, it’s more important to let your ears to get use to the sound of Chinese language. Plus there is an English speaker in the audio explains everything, so you don’t need to the script at this moment. To follow the audios is kind of practicing your listening and speaking skills. Listening and speaking skills are the very important skills for learning a language. They should always be target first.  
2. After you go through few audio lessons you can start to use the software to work on the identifying words by hearing the words. There are many ways you can switch them. You can choose to hear the words first and then identify characters, Pinyin or Pictures. Also you can choose to see the Pinyin and identify characters or pictures… etc. It’s very flexible no matter you are visual learner or auditory learner you can benefit from this software.
3. After you work with audios and software for some time you can start to watch the Culture lessons Videos. Learn the culture of the country will help you to learn the language easier.
4. I intend to keep the writing instructional videos at the last. Because this should be the last skill to learn for a language. You can’t write before you can read, it’s same as you can’t speak before you can understand by listening. Follow each video slowly and do exactly what the video shows you.
